well, like wow. when I get frustrated with my boards that are screwed up
without lead, I go play hockey or wakeboard, dude!
(pangs of insignificance creeping in)
I'm something of an amatuer tree hugger. Between recycling, composting,
and not consuming I throw out next to nothing. I bring my own bags to the
store, I bike to work. But I'm afraid RoHS has finally jaded me to
government "environmental" efforts. The A/C compressor on my truck needed
replacing. I was ready to wait 2 days and pay $100 to have the
R134a "captured", to do the right thing. Then I realized that the
tetrafluoroethane that the EPA requires repair shops (and only repair shops) to
capture is exactly the same substance used in computer dusters and air
horns - both intended to be released. I really didn't feel bad when that
screwdriver accidently got stuck in the refill port. I actually felt more
frustrated that others fall for the chicken little routine.
