 Hi Harris,
The problem with electrolytic Au is that it is not self-limiting and you can easily get too much Au with Au-embrittlement as a consequence.

Can you please help to differentiate the two surface finishes? Also, is 
Electrolytic Gold done in Cu-Ni-Au plating line or there is another way?
