In the context of your exchange --- Bev and Steve ---- Memorial Day 1952
I was an Army officer living on a Naval ship as part of a convoy bringing
men and material to St. Anthony, Newfoundland to build a radar station as
part of the DEW line --- the Distant Early Warning system --- built up in
the cold war.  Then, too, we paused for a brief minute to remember those
we served with in WWII and wondered when and where the next encounter may
take place.  That operation --- our part --- was a joint US-Canadian
project.  Many memories.
