There was a patent issue with Asymtek that was resolved by the end of 2007, and they have been importing then since then.

The other holdup was the price. When I first saw one, at Productronica in 2005, it was priced at about 260k euros (I'm going from memory as I don't have my notes in front of me). It has come down since then, but the weak dollar against the euro doesn't help those US companies that might want to buy one.

Best,

Guy,

So you're saying you didn't buy one, right? When I first looked at them, they wouldn't seel them outside of Europe. I guess they've opened up their sales window. No, I don't have one.

It isn't a printer. It is a jet dispenser.

The first impediment to implementation in our shop was the paste.

The machine was optimized for their paste. We had just spent a boat load of

money and a ton of time qualifying a new paste. And I didn't want to go down

that road again.

TechNetters,

I'd like to hear from anyone who has used (or even seen) the MYDATA

MY500 screenprinter. I've read a couple of interesting tidbits of info

on the web, but would appreciate some commentary from those with actual

experience.

You may reply offline if you'd like.

Many thanks, and have a great holiday weekend.
