Suggest setting up a manual router with a fixture. Use the coupon
tooling to register the fixture to the panel and the routing is
repeatable and fast. Use spent carbide from the process and you have an
efficient and accurate method. We had a fixture for each coupon
configuration and only removed the blocks needed for testing in micro
section. The balance were still routed and bagged in the normal
process. Challenges - training the routers, traceability to the panel
and damage to the tooling holes.

Subject: [TN] coupon router

TechNetters, I'm looking for something to route coupons from printed
circuit panels, for microsection. At present, the routing is done on
production machines.

Buehler makes a small router that would do the job, and relieve the
burden on production. However, I'd like to know if anyone can recommend
another tool, or maybe knows where a suitable used machine is available.

Did not have any luck on the obvious place - eBay.

Thanks for any ideas or suggestions.
