The oldest gives the least not more than 3% to others and keeps the rest (97%) for himself!
The youngest is kept the happiest in splitting process so maybe 2 out of 3 goes to him.

Logical conclusion, try to be either the oldest one if not the the youngest one in any group!

Have a good weekend! Longer weekend for Canadians!

Sorry for the file supposed to be attached in earlier e-mail! e-mail system glitch!

I assume the medium TN found this ver easy. Now, dear friends comes a math puzzle that was given to gifted 12 year old kids in a English school for especially talented guys. Typically they solved it within a few minutes. I must confess, I had no solution even after five minutes. But I'm also a rather slowminded person.
Imagine to be beaten by small kids here. Painful.

5 pirates of different ages have a treasure of 100 gold coins.

On their ship, they decide to split the coins using this scheme:

The oldest pirate proposes how to share the coins, and all pirates remaining will vote for or against it.

If 50% or more of the pirates vote for it, then the coins will be shared that way. Otherwise, the pirate proposing the scheme will be thrown overboard, and the process is repeated with the pirates that remain.

Assuming that all 5 pirates are intelligent, rational, greedy, and do not wish to die, (and are rather good at math for pirates) what will happen?
