Yes. The ACR II has small teeth that will help. You have to look for this bit in the bigger hardware stores. Most trades people are not aware of it. It has been out for years. Any good screw manufacturer will offer fastener.

How good does the ACR II Phillips bit work on non-ACR II screws? Is there
any improvement or advantage over standard bits in this application?

I recomend ACR II Philips for the screw and the bits. The screw will lock
onto the bit and not fall off.

I am looking for a source of information on the selection and
application of different types of small threaded screws for electronic
box assembly (e.g., Philips head, straight blade, Torx set, socket hd,
etc...). Would someone please point me in the right direction.  thx
