Doug,

You might want to check out HP. It looks like an HP-IB connector
(IEEE-488) - my gut reaction. The only difference is that the HP-IB
connector was a double sided connector and this is single sided

If not, check out the IEEE standards.

I am in need of your assistance in determining the maker and part number

I know that this connector is used on the Apple iTouch and iPhone, but
do 
not know the connector manufacturer or part number.   Yes, Apple was 
contacted but in a comedy of merry-go-round phone transfers, the concept

of "hardware" is not widely known by anyone on the phone.  Scary.

Anyway, if you can let me know the manufacturer and part number, I would

appreciate it.
