Boats are the worst. I've got a Canadian made boat from the 80s. Most
"native" hardware (e.g. holding the hull together) is imperial. The
engine is a Volvo, so metric. The other bits and pieces are pretty
random, depending on who built it where. So I have a hundred pounds
(43.36 kg) of tools onboard. Aaarrrggg!!!!

regards,
 - Graham

My 1960 Dailmer Dart (SP250 in the States) used 5.90 x 15 tyres and has
Witworth hardware on the emergency brake pads.

Amen Mike, my 1960 Series 1 Sunbeam Alpine does not have anything metric
on
it. It's about half restored and I sure would hate to replace any
hardware
with metric.

Ps: please stay Imperial till I get my old car finished. All my nuts,
bolts
spanners, etc come originally from US suppliers.

Regards

Mike
