Hi Amol!

Let me just say that I've never had to replace a stainless steel stencil
for anything other than it getting damaged (dented from something
getting dropped on it, etc.), or it becoming de-bonded from the
polyester mesh that holds it in the frame. With our new "frameless"
stencils I don't think I'll need to worry about that too much.

I have some stencils that I know we've built at least 5,000 - 8,000
boards with.

Steve

Dear Technetters,
Do anyone of you out there have a set value (time, # of prints etc.,)
that is used to replace a stencil with a new one?. I know "it depends"
on a large # of factors (stencil material, print speed, squeegee type,
print pressure, aperture size etc.), but is there some method to the
madness or is stencil replacement essentially a "as needed" item?

Thanks,
Amol
