Zinc is well known in 50 and 60. The publication may not be easy to find in web (a coomon problem for someone based on their reserach using web only).

I've been around plating a lot, especially zinc and I never heard of zinc
whisker formation. Are you sure you don't mean tin whisker formation?
If you really do mean zinc please direct me to some information about it.
