Hi Jerry,
Sounds like you've tried that before? Don't feel like the Lone Ranger,
call me Tonto.
It does make a hellava mess not to mention smokes like a freight train.
It might be different if it was just flux and solder powder that you
were dealing with, but I think there is more than that in solder paste.
Mike Fenner or somebody more knowledgable than me on solder paste
composition can answer that...
Steve

Hi Kenny,
It will make a heck of a mess. The flux in the paste will not
completely burn off and leave a tar like substance on top of the solder.

Subject: [TN] Solder Paste In the Solder Pot
I have what I hope is a generic question without getting into too many
details.
IF the flux in the solder paste and the flux in the wave solder are
compatible and they are both 63/37, can unused, expired shelf life,
solder paste be dumped into the wave solder pot?
Thanks,
KennyB
