I completely agree with you - I hit the TechNet to see if I had missed
something...

 

Of course, given the current economy, if you said GM or Chrysler, that
rumor may become reality unfortunately. But that discussion can take
place at another time over our favorite libation.

Hi Lee - An equivalent statement would be ...." there is a rumor that
all Ford automobiles would no longer be manufactured...". The flux
designation ROL1 is very broad and includes a large number of flux
materials. I would not be surprised that in our current economy, that
some of the flux chemistry suppliers are going to drop some of their
lower sales volume flux formulations but I would be extremely surprised
to see all fluxes with an ROL1 designation become dinosaurs.

[TN] ROL1 RUMOR

 

		




Heard a rumor from one of my colleagues that ROL1 solder flux would no
longer be manufactured.

I find this extremely hard to believe. Has anyone heard this rumor?

Just curious.
