We use the same torque values whether on PWA or chassis. We use locking
feature nuts, screws or thread inserts. Epoxy tacks are always used on
any fastener, especially on PWA since the torque (pre-load) relaxes with
time.

Subject: [TN] Torque Value for fastener used on electronic printed
circuit board / chassis

Hello,

I come from electronic background and sometime mechanical fasteners are
required to secure the connectors and electronic components. I often
wonder how the torque values are determined when used with printed
circuit board or with metal chassis, when plain and /or split washer are
used. secure with fastener. Some said adhesive is required for the nut,
some said not necessary.

I hope someone can enlighten me on this issue.

Thanks and Regards,
~ Wee Mei ~
