Holy Cow is to weak an expression....
Now, I have more than one computer, one for surfing (the one with problems),
one for scanning photos, work with Photoshop, make slideshows, add music
etc, one for analog/digital movie making, one for music only and a new one
with Linux. So it's only one computer I've been struggling with. The others
are behaving well. I don't miscredit Microsoft, it has all to do with my
daughter, who has used this computer for surfing and importing all kind of
stuff that I wouldn't use myself.
A Mac....hmmm....been thinking of that too. Can you build one yourself as
easy as a X32 for win?

And yet this user was disgruntled because the FREE anti-virus programs would
not fix the system. But this user seems to trust the unknown freebies more
than Microsoft.
So an "Angry and Frustrated" user finally spent $39 for a 3rd party
package. (And we know what US$39 is worth now.)
And this same user had Windows Update turned off so Microsoft could not
deliver free fixes to know problems.
Wow, yes, buy a MAC so you have no ability to create such madness on your
own machine. Can someone be get jail time for computer neglect?

The problem was,īthat windows installer wasn't last version.
OK, I went to Microsoft download and imported last version,
but it could not be installed because of no last version of Axtive-X,
so I downloaded latest Active-X.
Now I ought to be able to install Defender?
Yes. And I started scanning computer,
Defender found some dangerous 'malware' without precizing what,
I depressed 'remove all', but got the message that certain files could not
be removed
because I had not windows automatic update enabled.
I depressed 'turn on automatic update' in the start menu but nothing
happened.
Got a Windows error message, clicket on the link to Microsoft and got the
instruction
how to enable automatic updates. Didn't work, so I went to control
panel/services and
tried to start auto update by selecting 'manual start'. But whatever I did ,
'disabled' remained.
Went to a forum for win problems, found that a specific trojan named
'Vundo.gen!Y' .That malware
stops you from enabling windows updating. Had found the evil one.
Defender could do nothing, RegCure as well. What to do? Pareto Logics
recommended me to
download (buy) XSoftSpy. OK, I was angry and frustrated, decided to trust
them and installed
that program. First and limited scan found 'Vundo.gen' and killed it. Then
I made a total computer
scan and found over 3,000 malwares, 166 being severe! XSoftSpy eliminated
all but this one, which
I cant get rid of : 'agent.BX'..But I will find a way sooner or later.
So, Ted, now I start my computer running Defender, then RegCure and finally
XSoftSpy. Takes a couple of'
minutes, but it's worth waiting. My computer harddisk has stopped 'idling' ,
has been very rapidly working
and no more popping up advertisments, and no 'antivirus' messages from
doubful software sources, nothing anomalous at all.
Like being started from fresh OS, and all my installed software is saved.
