I looked at the spec for the Molex connector 75783 and I would agree that the SMT leads would have to be inspected as you would any SOIC lead. The 90% they reference must be the PTH-pins which are most likely ground pins for EMI/RF shielding.

Does anyknow what is the rigth workmanship standards for this type of connector?
It does not seem that IPC-A-610 covers this lead type.
The cloest things is in section 8.2.5 . (Flat ribbon, L and Gull Wong leads). Am I correct?
