Hi Eric,

If a typical manufacturing engineer life is anything like me I'd say that
the packrat process started in the younger years while taking things apart
and not always being able to put them back together. I'd hid them from my
dad because he'd make me sit there until if figured out how to put it back
together if he found out. I built up quite a pile of "pack ratted" parts. Of
course from that pile I was able to create all sorts of cool stuff.

Steve,

You didn't have to call yourself a packrat. We already know you're an
engineer! I guess that leads to the question, do packrats become engineers
or does engineering school create packrats? Forget about chickens and eggs,
this one has truly cosmic implications!
