In addition to thickness control we used it to push the resin for fill in
heavy copper inner layers. It also reduce the wrinkles in build up sets
that had two ounce inners and 1/2 ounce outters.

Are there some rules which allow us to know when it's necessary to use a
blank material (core without copper) combined with prepreg?
What are the advantages and disadvantages if any?
