On a different forum, someone asked, "Why not just buy up all the
mortgages in the US?". It's a great question. What would you do if you
didn't have to spend $$$$/month on a mortgage payment?

Not that I agree with the idea, nor the bailouts: but right after it
became the "in" thing to cry for a bailout, some people were wonder how
to help those who didn't make poor decisions, but were going to be
impacted by job loss or related. With this method, everyone wins. ;)

Pete,

Since this is my Friday, I am going to chime in . . .

I whole-heartedly agree with the consumer sharing the blame. A business
person is going to supply the demand.

However, that business person should probably have been more
diversified; hindsight - questioning that business management.

That brings us back to the original question - Why bailout the auto
industry? If mismanagement is our reasoning for not wanting to bailout
the auto industry, then why in hell are we so intent on funding wall
street, the banking industry, or the insurance industry? Why not
bailout the consumer? Line my pocket with a couple hundred thousand
US$'s & let me choose my own bailout plan.

My inflated $.02 worth.

Happy Thanksgiving in America & have a great week else where.
