I also have spent too much time touring Asian PCB facilities, and am less impressed by their management and judgment, however, it is very difficult to beat the fact that they have NO EPA, or OSHA (except in Japan). Further getting business loans is easy (except in Japan), and repayment is never an issue, if it becomes impossible, the loan is "renegotiated", thus the banker never loses face, for having made a "bad" loan.
