I am researching XRF equipment for measuring gold plating thickness 
and lead content (< 0.1% for RoHS).  We have several components that 
are very small (eg. 0.005" dia pins) that need to be inspected for gold 
thickness.  Do you have any for or against recommendations for the 
different types of equipment (hand held v/s bench top) and 
manufacturers out there?
