The Vitronic Soltec, Stratham NH has the Smart wave which has a hex shaft just ahead and part of the main wave. It add more time and the angle of the solder is pushed up the holes and the rest of the wave maintains the heat transfer and wetting. We tested the same Engineering test boards with different lead hole ratios, heavy ground and patterns not connected to ground. In every case the Vitronics solder all the pins and at a higherconveyor speed than the competitor.
On OSP the Kester 220 worked the best.
