Ken,

that's great. Will be piece of a cake to calcultate then. It's not me who
wanted it, but Arnaud Grivon.
Arnaud, you see what I predicted: lots of specialists on this topic. Are you
happy with Saturn's great assistance?

Inge

Inge,

You are welcome to download our software tool to help with this.

I'm not sure if it will tell you exactly what you need but hey.it's free!

Arnaud,

here comes a typical set of diagrams showing temperatures vs conductor width

vs conductor thickness.

If you have trouble with the language, just tell me.

I will try to send the report via mail as compressed. If that doesn't work,

I'll make a CD.

Subject: [TN] PCB Trace Over-Current Withstanding Time

Hello all,

Is anyone able to answer the following query about PCB traces over-current

withstanding time : I am questioned about the existence of a plot giving the

with-standing time of PCB traces versus over-current.

Question is asked for 0.15mm up to 0.21mm line widths, 35µm/70µm thickness

and currents of 50A to 100A.

Any clue?

Best regards,

Arnaud Grivon
