Hi,

Is there any IPC standard wich states clearly about the acceptable range of tolerance in case master drawing specifies the minimum finished copper thickness? In fact,as manufacturer, for such cases we used to start with "thinner" clad foilthicknesses and increase the Cu plating thicknesses (Example : start with 2 OZ and plate to reach 3 oz). However, for some PCBs because of non good copper distribution, it's not possible to reach the minimum value of total copper thickness and especially on flat area (there isabout 10% to15% less than the minimum requested value).Does this issue common for Pcb manufacture and how it is dealed with customers?Regards.Habib SAHLI Engineering Department ________________________ Fuba Printed Circuits Tunisie El Azib 7026 Km 9 Bizerte Phone: (+216) 72 451 144 ext 129 Fax: (+216) 72 451 333 Email: [log in to unmask]: www.fubatunisie.com
