Ahhhhhhhhhh Dewey.......
You made me read to the end of the email...................bad
bad,bad........of course we all know that in a stable environment the
footprints are liable to be outlined in brown material unless you are very
careful where you put them.

Subject: [TN] Different pad sizes on the same BGA
Dear Technos,
Due to a highly restrictive design, we have a 1mm pitch, 17x17mm BGA
that has 250 micron pads. As per a previous posting of mine, these pads
peel off during depanelizing.
In reply to my request to increase pad size, the designer could do the
following:
* Modify the first row of pads to rectangular shape, 250x350 um
* Increase all the other pads to 350um circular pads
How does this look from the reliability point of view?
It's a medical imagery application, not a life supporting device but
best reliability expected. It will work in hospitals, so relatively
stable environment.
Thanks,
Ioan
