Hi Amol,

We don't use UV coating so it's not an issue but I was wondering if you
could put the paper out in the sun for a little bit. Of course here in
Western Washington that would be a problem since we never get any sun ;-)

Subject: [TN] Conformal Coating Waste

Dear Technetters,
We regularly use absorbent paper to rest the boards in the conformal coating
booth as we spray them (UV cure coatings). A question came up recently about
the paper being hazardous waste due to uncured coating on it. I want to know
if:
1. Anybody else is using a similar method to coat the boards and how is
disposal being handled
2. Is there an alternative to using paper in the coating booth. The disposal
issue will still remain

I do not want to put the paper in the UV oven for curing.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Amol
