english constructions are never beautiful, but they WORK !! 

Personally, I think english cars from the anglian heydays were the
ugliest on this planet, but they were built to work, not to give sensual
kicks (Victorian manner?)  ...I'll be killed by Mike Fenner or like...

Read once about the perfect machine or other equipment -english
invention and concept -italian design -german manufactured

When you have all quite finished brit bashing, as you will no doubt have
seen it was actually a Russian unit, a NASA source I heard said American
ones were ruled out in the design of the facility because they were
deemed as far too unreliable. 

Seems none of us can make a simple reliable pump these days.
