I fully agree with you. When I made the statement in the post below I
was speaking from the standpoint of hiring managers and recruiters.
Almost all job postings are toll specific and in the case of Allegro
even revision specific. The best I saw was a job posting looking for 5
years of Allegro experience and 2 years of PCB design experience. How do
you do that? Three years as a librarian?

I started taping artworks in 1976. I was designing boards with
Conputervision in 1984. But since I have been using Expedition since
2000 I can't get a job at a company using Allegro because they are
afraid of the learning curve. The last time I used Allegro it just
wasn't that difficult.
