I asked Steve to add a slide show on his website, there are other countries
enjoying the up swing in oil costs. I have always wondered why no one
discusses the fact that oil production rates are going down and have been
for several years now. According to the Exxon 2007 financial report it
states that earnings have increased from 2006 to 2007 by $267M USD while
production has decreased by 65K barrels per day while bragging about 101%
return to reserves in the same 1 year period. Chevron website shows the same
story. You have to believe the executes as they blame the laws of supply and
demand for the oil price increases, they created the environment but there
is way to much oil money being made in politics to complain to much.

Not one country has a model energy program, all of us no matter where or
what you buy will see increases but some of these increases are not
warranted. As far as Dow passing along cost increases due to energy cost
increases most companies world wide have used this as a reason to raise
costs of services and products.

you may call it levelling, the US can't be the economy wonderland for ever.
35 million living in poverty is one sign of declination. The resources
exist still, but inspiration and trust seems to be little shaky these days.
'The richest nation in the world'..richest on what?
Not critisizing, just worried.

I urge all to review this article, it is a sign of what lays ahead, and
likely the first of many such steps. It will affect us all in our industry,
profoundly.
