It is neither an ozone depleter or a global warmer. 

It has a ton of other names. 
Its chemical formula is C6H14O2.
Its boiling point is 149C. 
Very water soluble. 
1 M lbs produced annually in the US. 
Not much listed as far as I can tell about potential health effects. But I'm searching on a Blackberry while seated in an airport.  Will continue searching.
