Thanks for the re-post of Rudy's link "Unfortunate sign of things to come".


I have yet to see any of the corporations that are "passing along" the cost
increases take visible steps to curb their own excesses like exorbitant
executive compensation, wasteful corporate jets, management structures
bloated with far too many people and just plain poor or outdated
manufacturing practices.

Using well known airlines based in the U.S. as examples it's no wonder
they're suffering.  From first hand experience I can cite 2 of them for
willful disregard of advancing electrolytic process technology that would
save each of them multi million $$ in material costs, labor and significant
environmental considerations.
