Doug,
Here is Canada there is an associated called the Canadian Association of
Environmental Analytical Laboratories that labs join and then CAEAL
gives labs each year known, blind samples that they must test and get
respectable results on. There must be an equivalent association in the
US. Rudy has already pointed out that there are many poor labs, so you
need some measure of telling who is good, if you are going to use a lab
for which you do not have a solid endorsement. Also, even if a lab is
good, if they are not used to testing the type of sample you have in
mind, the results may still be questionable.

Good luck in your hunt.

PS I know you have a hard time sending stuff away to a foreign country,
but if you could send it to the Great White North, we can recommend some
good labs.

Monday is Victoria Day (a holiday) Long Live the Queen! (and partially
because that gives us a holiday. I hope this does not upset any of our
fervent Quebecois.

Good morning all,

I find myself in need of a test lab that does gas chromatography mass
spectroscopy (GCMS). Are there any labs that you would recommend?
Sadly,
I don't have this capability in house.
