Doug:  One of the better labs I have used is Chemir Analytical.
In general you have to be VERY careful with contract labs, and with GCMS particularly, because some of them are set up to ONLY be able to analyze and report on the list of environmental toxic substance, and THEY ARE NOT EVEN AWARE OF THEIR OWN LIMITATIONS.  We have wasted tens of thousands of dollars on GCMS with incompetent labs.

It has become so bad, that we now, when possible, send a known along for analysis, thus testing the tester.  The fraction of totally erroneous results we have gotten on our knowns is strong reinforcement to keep up this procedure.
