Believe it or not, all of you already have an excellent maintenance
scheduler with automatic notification and a means of documenting the
date the maintenance task was performed, etc., on your computer.
Within Microsoft Outlook, you can create tasks and schedule them, and
Outlook will prompt you with an email when PM is due. Check it out. The
more you use Task Scheduler, the more it seems to work. It may not be as
"powerful" etc, but the price is right.
I set up a complete PM plan at two major CEMs this way. They still use
it, and there have been no problems.

Subject: [TN] PM Software

Hello Technetters,
Hope everyone is doing fine. I wanted to find out what software is being
used out there for keeping track of Equipment PMs. We use an antiquated
piece of software that was created when the earth's crust was still
molten (well....feels like it anyway) and is long overdue for a change.
I could go with an updated version of the same software but wanted to
find out what else is available and how user friendly it is.

I am not looking for anything fancy. Something that will let me schedule
PMs, enumerate what has to be done, and maybe automatically alert our
Maintenance team (or print out the form automatically) when the PM is
due.

Thank you in advance for your inputs.

Regards,
Amol
