Hi Steve,
One more item to take note is the guiding pins vs. the PCB guiding hole design. You might want to cut of the guiding pins to try it out first.

Hi Steve,
I used similar part previously, stencil opening is one of the factors. You might want to re-study the opening at the centre of the connector (if any) to ensure that it is not helping to lift/slant the connector during reflow process. You might also want to extend the stencil opening (toe) for the pins (another 3 to 5mils). Do study on the connector design, too, e.g. will it slant left/right (affecting the pitch), are the leads too long (resulted in more co planarity control needed), etc. Hope this help.

Regards
GA Tan

How long is the connector?. It is far more likely you have a connector /
board coplanarity issue.

Subject: [TN] Samtec QMSS-DP Series Differential Pair Connectors

Good Afternoon,
Does anyone have any experience with the subject connectors?
I'm currently evaluating these connectors (the mate is QFSS series) for
a new application and am experiencing issues with coplanarity of the
leads resulting in random nonsoldered pins. The coplanarity is listed
on the spec sheet as .004" (.10mm) max and I'm using a 6mil stencil with
1:1 apertures (as recommended by the mfr).
Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Steve
