I posted this in the lead free forum but did not get much of a response so 

I though I would also try here.


The new 609 standard "Marking and Labeling of Components, PCBs, PCBAs' to 
Identify Lead (Pb), Pb-Free and Other Attributes" has additional 
requirements to mark leaded boards with the lead category. Amongst other 
things it It also indicates that the packaging should list the information 

applicable to the PCB or PCBA which ever you are shipping.

Is anyone currently doing this. Up to now we have been only including the 
solder alloys (e1/e2) and coating type on lead free PCBs.
