Karl,

Could you tool up a disposable vinyl "Cap-plug", or would it not
withstand the cure temp? Ditto Steve's question of what thou art using,
and what it likes to cure at.

Ever tried Teflon, delrin, or UHMW as a mold? - a two-piece clamshell
affair.

With the exception of the Teflon, just give the two mold halves a quick
spray of carnuba wax mold release and 'knock yourself out'.

If you are not going for cosmetics, acrylic backed Kapton tape makes a
handy dandy mold at times too! - depending on your dexterity and
handiness :-)

Steve

Subject: [TN] Unique potting requirements

Hi all,
I've asked Steve to post a few pictures of some unique potting
requirements. We currently make rubber potting molds, FR4 potting molds
and sometimes machined steel is used, however costly. The shape of this
potting doesn't lend itself to the mentioned methods of production. Any
ideas on how to achieve this shape would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Karl Hunsinger
