Yes, mean phys polish down to ra < 0.1 um...I guess on mechanically down
to some #4,000 and then electropolish plus a Lambda 1/4 coating of some
sort, but that's a guess. Because silver is so soft, maybe other methods
are applied.

Inge,
Polish as in physically polish or just to remove a light film of silver
sulphide?  If the latter, just put in an aluminum pan with some lemon
juice heat a bit and then wash with DI water.  If you really mean
polish, I haven't a clue.

I challenge TN once again. Could post this question to some laser
specialized company, but then I would automatically get a fishing bate
in my face, if you understand what I mean. So, I prefer to ask the
multi-talented TNetters:
what is the best way to polish silver reflectors to 99% without leaving
microscopical contaminations in the silver surface?
