It is at present uncontrolled. Moderation will be applied if necessary,
although I do not forsee any issues at the present time.

About 80 people signed up the first day.

John

Note this is not not an IPC forum, but seems to operate the same way.
Timing is great, as the "Wednesday Whiskers Forum" ad hoc group moderated by
Bill
Rollins of Raytheon, Tucson had just inquired about the same thing through
IPC.

John, are you the moderator and controller of content, or is this freelists

uncontrolled? Thanks in advance.

Subject: [TN] A list server for tin whiskers
Importance: High

As a result of much concern on the subject of Tin Whiskers (being a much
more severe problem in some applications that expected) there has been
much
dialogue on email between a number of interested and informed parties
such
as NASA, CALCE, as well as many military and telecommunications
companies.

As a result of these various emails the group requested that a list
server
be put up to discuss areas of tin whisker issues and research.

The list server is now up and can be subscribed using the following
information:

- Users can subscribe to the list by sending email to
[log in to unmask] with 'subscribe' in the Subject field.

- Once subscribed, to post to the mailing list, simply send email to
[log in to unmask]

- To unsubscribe from the list by send an email to
[log in to unmask] with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject
field
