Good-morning Peter,
There are several companies who advertise the ability to build
interposers between various packages and PCB configurations. I found
these three in one of my PCB magazines in just a few minutes. Ironwood
Electronics at http://www.ironwoodelectronics.com, Logical Systems at
http://www.logicalsys.com/, or Emulation Technology at
http://www.emulation.com are three choices. There are a lot of other
shops that also do this sort of thing. Emulation Technology and
Ironwood have been around for a long time. I have not used one of these
shops for interposers, we usually build out own when we run into this
sort of issue. I have used ET and Ironwood for special sockets and
clips for live in-circuit testing. I am sure some other technetters may
be able to share their expeiences.
Good luck and smooth sailing,
Kim Haynes

Subject: [TN] Adapter board/socket for TQFP 176 pin
I have a customer whose boards were designed with a 176 pin TQFP with a
0.4 mm lead pitch. Problem is, the parts they specified were 176 pin
LQFP with 0.5 mm pitch.
I've seen references on TechNet before to companies that can provide
adapter boards/sockets to allow us to use these fabs until they get
re-designed but I can not recall who they were. I've tried searching
the archives with no success.
Can anyone help me?
Thanks
Peter
