Many thanks for contributions and comments so far to the Defect Database
set-up at NPL. The database is now online if any engineers want to view
images or contribute material. http://defectsdatabase.npl.co.uk/

The database will take time to populate with defects, but with world wide
industry cooperation and introducing defect types from other research
studies this should result in a useful resource free for industry to use. We
are currently working on the next batch of 50 process examples covering
PCBs, solder joints, wire and crimp terminations etc.

The database is being run by Davide Di Maio at NPL

Many thanks

Bob Willis
