Peer, microwave boards?
You can use conventional belt ovens, batch ovens or VP ovens, just a
question of temp curve. Ericsson have soldered some 2,000,000 brass backed
boards with belt oven. You have to create your own window, copying other's
won't work, unless the mass is same as well as geometry and component
selection. Speak to your oven manufacturer, he may have thumb rules to start
with. The trick is to increase the preheat time without affecting the flux,
and get a rapid cool down, the middle of the curve should be same as for
ordinary boards. All depending on the metal mass, which one you don't
mention. Myself, I would use VP, no problem with IR absorption, flux
charring and a lot of zone adjustments. Just to dive...(not the full
truth..)
By the way, is someone following/using this one microwave board spec from
Year 2006 or is there a fresher one?

The metal is aluminium, the insulation is FR4, the solder is lead free.
I am looking for a process window.
