I'll agree with Miguel. Testing I performed using SN100C alloy and a
test assembly designed to induce solder skips and solder bridges showed
the Soltec machine with the selective debridger was considerably
superior to my present Sn/Pb process.

Subject: Re: [TN] Wave solder machine recommendations?

I've had experience with Technical Devices' NuEra, Vitronics Soltec, and
a Chinese made machine for lead-free.
The Vitronics Soltec is by far my first choice.
The TD required too much maintenance and tweaking to maintain acceptable
quality levels.
The Chinese machine gave me problems right out of the box, and proved to
be high-cost of ownership.
I've heard some mfr's are just buying these machines, and selling them
with their name on it. Not the same as building in China and following
the OEM's quality standards.

Subject: [TN] Wave solder machine recommendations?

Morning all!

Just taking a quick poll, who would you recommend as far as wave solder
machine manufacturers taking into account machine performance, machine
quality, and customer support (not necessarily in that order).

We're thinking about a new machine...
