Thank you for the answer. I know that migration caused by the silver plated
feedthru. The question is if non conductive epoxy which will cover
feedthru body can prevent the short.

Silver epoxy does not start migration. Your silver migration is probably
caused by the silver plated feedthroughs. We NEVER us Silver. Our glass
beads have gold flash over nickel over the base metal.

Hi,
I am facing a problem of silver migration with soldered feedthru. The silver
plated feedthrus are soldered to an aluminum housing and +60V is applied to
the feedthru's pin. After period the voltage fall down and silver residues
observed on the glass insulator . These residues caused the pin to short to
the body.

Is epoxy adhesive which will cover the feedthru body , after the soldering,
can be a solution ?

Please advise,
Thanks,
Anat Douek
