We use SAP for Incoming Parts (QA32) which we chart each monthly. We use
it to track all parts but especially the top 10. We also use it for
receiving parts, BOM, etc. Sometimes is a real pain but you do get used
to it. (Not really) Stock room also uses it to track material movement,
as well as movement into MRB. (Non Netable location)

Subject
[TN] SAP and SPC?

Ah, nothing better than some three letter acronyms (TLAs)...

Question related to building boards - monitoring quality.

We use SAP for tracking work and recording defects and their rework.
Currently we are manually pulling defect data out of SAP using queries, to
track our performance. Yes, we are pretty low volume, I would not want to
do this at higher volumes.

Question is: what are other SAP users doing to pull defect data out? Is
there any automated way to do this? Add-on software?

Thanks, and merry Christmas to all TechNetter's!!!

regards,
