We don't use rubber. We found some glass fiber brushes in a pen-like
handle.
They work great. They cut the metal off and do not imbed crap in the
copper.
TechniTool? I think that is where we got them. Board repair stuff.
If you have your heart set on the erasers try a drafting or graphic
design supply store.

Subject: [TN] Erase to abrade off HASL off circuit cards
We have a requirement to use an erase to remove solder from a PCB pad
down to the base copper. The recommended erase is too soft- we found a
hard grey abrasive erase that goes in an electric eraser but don't know
where we can buy more of these. Any ideas?
