There can also be a problem with sensors for gases or humidity which can
be poisoned by very small amounts of silicone.
So if your customer uses your boards with any gas sensors it is possibly
detrimental to his processes.
We have a customer that does not allow us too use silicones on our
production lines (even those not making their product) for that reason.

Subject: [TN] Silicone Lens Cleaner Problem
I'm hoping that somenone on TechNet this morning can help my understand
a little more about this. I received a letter from a customer stating
that silicone can introduce contaminants which are detrimental to the
manufacturing process. The notice specifically mentioned lens cleaner.
Can someone enlighten me as to what problems silicone can cause?
Thanks,
Blair
