Yes, all the below.  It takes amazingly little (molecules) to start
impacting adhesion and soldering performance.  It migrates easily with
contaminated hands.  We have special ovens to handle assy containing RTV
to prevent cross-contamination. It's difficult to quantify the threshold
of impact.  We have used silicone-based Kapton tape adhesive with no
impact, but plater's tape (the pink stuff) has much more free silicone
and causes loss of epoxy adhesion in the area the tape was applied.

Is it just liquid silicone, like that found in lens cleaner, that we
should be concerned about? What about silicone found in the thermal pads
and the elastomeric keypads? How abou tsilicone based RTV materials?
