Jack,

Catapult does boards with 10-18 layers, up to 15,000 vias.

We have had good luck using Polyclad 370 and Isola Fr-408
material.

I can also tell you that in order to get to these two materials,
it took 6-8 months running  half a dozen vender recommended
materials through our CMs production cycle processes.

Some of the recommended materials fell apart in one way or another.

My suggestion is to run your own tests, in your own environment and
don't accept blanket statements made by anyone at this point.
