David,
If both halves of the connector are from different manufacturers than
there may be some problems, but if the complete assembly is from one
source, then they should be able to give you a spec and/or check the
parts you have.  The planarity specs are sometimes not in the datasheets
but may be requested from the field rep as a must have to do business
type item.

Subject: [TN] Connector Coplanarity

We're receiving 6" long shrouded thru-hole connectors that are warped.
The coplanarity of the molded body of the part is off enough to
sometimes crack when seated in the mating connector.  Is there an
industry or military spec that defines what variation is acceptable for
these kinds of parts?
